About me
This is my eleventh year teaching special education, and my seventh year as a learning resource teacher at Parkland School. I recently completed my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL endorsement. While in my coursework, I did some research on the effects of Whole Brain Teaching used as a classroom behavior management strategy with students with language and academic needs. This summer, through the ROE, I did a book study/course on "Whole Brain Teaching for Challenging Kids" (Biffle, 2023) where I became Bronze Certified in WBT. We will talk about WBT basics, how to get started, and show you some valuable resources to use with your class. Tired of using trinkets as rewards? Get your students to be intrinsically motivated by rewarding their improvement with WBT strategies!
